Marshfield Plaza Shopping Center
Marshfield Plaza is a half a million square foot regional shopping center located in Chicago's far South Side. The center is anchored by Target, Jewel-Osco, Burlington Coat Factory, LA Fitness, and Marshalls. Other retailers include Chili's, Panda Express, Petco, Staples, and Anna's Linens. With a total budget of over $120 million, the projected entailed the environmental cleanup of a former brownfield site (previously the Libby Foods canning facility), LEED designation, the creation of over 850 construction and 1,260 retail jobs, and will create millions of dollars of sales tax revenue annually to the City. Working with the City of Chicago, and in partnerhsip with Prudential, Primestor took over where other developers had previously failed on a project that had been mired in bankruptcy, to complete the largest commercial project in the city's South Side.
